Southern & South Africa

Home to the Kaapval craton and containing some of the world's richest mineral deposits, southern Africa's topography and history are formed by it's gold, diamonds and platinum. Kruger National Park and the adjoining private reserves of Greater Kruger National Park form one of Africa's finest wildlife areas, offering superb viewing opportunities all year round. In one of the first national parks to be established in Africa, the custodians of Kruger faced tragedy, triumph and hardship, as they have strived to protect a pristine wilderness region that is sanctuary to over 700 species of mammals, reptiles and birds.

Namibia is one of the great surprises of southern Africa, boasting some of the most spectacular and breathtaking desert scenery on earth. The great sand dunes of the Namib Desert, looming over 300 metres above the desert floor, are a sight never to be forgotten.

Victoria Falls is certainly Zimbabwe's most celebrated spectacle. Measuring some 1.7 kilometres in width and with a drop of around 105 metres, this impressive rush of water sends a huge plume of spray into the sky, visible for kilometres and providing a stunning spectacle not to be missed.

North & Western Africa

Morocco offers a whole range of experiences. You can lose yourself in medieval bazaars, hike in the shadow of snow-capped peaks, discover the rich Berber culture and relax at laid-back coastal resorts. You can aim to do all of this and more.

In Cairo you can unravel the complexity of the dynastic periods on a visit to Memphis and its splendid necropolis, Sakkara. Be sure to visit the first Step Pyramid along with several outstanding Old Kingdom tombs, the Egyptian Museum (including the Tutankhamun exhibition), the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx.

Timbuktu – one word can conjure up memories from your childhood. For many, the word Timbuktu is used when trying to describe the most remote, distant part of the world. Few people know that Timbuktu is an actual city, located in Mali on the southern fringes of the Sahara Desert. Did you know that it wasn't until the 20th century that a European or American ever made it back from Timbuktu because Timbuktu is so remote, so desolate and incredibly difficult to get to?

East Africa

This is where humanity got its start and civilizations first flourished. Rwanda is the kind of astonishing country that, once visited, will never be erased from your hearts and your memory. Also known as the Land of 10,000 Hills, this beautiful, but tiny and landlocked country is also a paradox. There are no words that can accurately describe the feeling at the point in time when humans comes face to face with the gorillas. Words cannot describe such an overwhelming experience.

After you've experienced East Africa your life will never be the same. In Kenya you can choose to explore the Masai Mara and Samburu National Reserves as well as visit the alkaline Lake Nakuru. Kenya's game reserves are among the best in the world, with large quantities of animal inhabiting vast expanses of land.

Tanzania boasts some of the most impressive national parks in Africa, containing some of the best collection of wildlife in the entire continent. As the tallest mountain in Africa, Mt. Kilimanjaro lies close to the equator, yet snow, ice and glaciers are found on its highest slopes. Soaring to the impressive altitude of 5,895 metres or 19,350 feet, it affords incredible views of hundreds of square kilometres of surrounding countryside as well as of the mountain peaks, valleys and glaciers around you. The thrill of reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro gives one an unsurpassed sense of achievement.
