Arrive Lima - Lake Titicaca - Puno - Uros, Amantaní & Taquile Islands - Puno
After you arrival in the capital on Day 2 you will take a flight up to Juliaca and then be transferred to Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. We stop at the floating reed islands of the Uros Indians and Amantaní Island where we stay overnight with the native Indians enjoying dinner and perhaps some dancing. The next morning we visit Taquile Island where the people live in simple adobe huts |

Sillustani Ruins - Sicuani - Cuzco - Inca Trail (or free time)
A four day trek to reach the famous Inca city of Machu Picchu. The terrain is varied from dry and dusty to damp and misty, with many spectacular ruins along the way. Take lots of film and a sense of adventure. |

Machu Picchu - Aguas Calientes - Cuzco
A final few hours trekking and the chance to glimpse Machu Picchu from the Sungate before descending into the site itself, a truly awesome experience. There is a guided tour of this wondrous site then free time to explore. We take the afternoon train back to Cuzco. There is free time to explore the old Inca Capital. You will be given a Cuzco visitor ticket to gain entry into most of the museums, sites and churches in this magical city. Either a free day to explore Cuzco or other options are available, like an excursion to the lush and fertile Sacred Valley to visit the Inca ruins of Pisac and Ollantaytambo. |

Puerto Maldonado - Amazon Jungle
Flying to Pto Maldanado we are transported by bus and motorised canoe to our jungle lodge with in the mighty Amazon rain forest. Along with our guide we will have the opportunity during our visit to experience this magical place with walks into the jungle to discover many species of plants and wildlife. It is not uncommon during our jungle experience to see many species of monkey, Caiman, Tarantula spiders, many different and unusual bird species and if we are lucky the rare giant otter. |
