A round the world ticket is a ticket allowing you to fly around the world, usually over a period of up to a year, which allows for a set number of stops or set number of miles provided you continue to travel in one direction (if you start off going east you always go east, and vice versa).

Multi-Stop Air Itineraries:

A multi-stop ticket is an itinerary where you can make multiple stops enroute depending on the carrier, but travel doesn’t necessarily have to be in one direction.
