Itinerary:

Day: Description:
1 Arrive La Paz:
2 2 La Paz / Tiahuanaco:
The bustling market-filled streets of La Paz are unforgettable, where the city's indigenous roots are always on display. The mysterious Tiahuanaco people constructed a great ceremonial centre on the southern shore of Lake Titicaca over 1000 years ago. Spend most of the day visiting these fantastic ruins and try to unravel the ancient mystery for yourself.
3 Puno:
Enjoy spectacular views of the Altiplano countryside on this full day of travel from La Paz, through the mountains, around Lake Titicaca and on to Puno.
4-5 Lake Titicaca / Taquile Island:
Embark on a boat trip to visit the Uros, Amantani and Taquile island, and then immerse yourself in Peruvian rural life with a homestay in a small local village.
6-7 Cuzco:
Enjoy spectacular views of the countryside while travelling from Puno to Cuzco through the high Altiplano region. With a friendly, colonial atmosphere, Cuzco offers nearby Inca ruins, cobblestone streets, museums, markets and churches.
8 Ollantaytambo:
Travel with our local guide through the Sacred Valley to Pisac and the picturesque town and Inca ruins of Ollantaytambo.
9-11 Lares Trek:
Leave early in the morning and travel by bus through the Sacred Valley. Spend the morning in the village Qeshwarani. Continue upwards through the valley and arrive at the indigenous community of Cuncani. Cross the challenging 4440m Condor Pass, with stunning views of Mount Veronica (5750m,) then descend gently to beautiful Ipsaycocha Lake, our last campsite. Finally, on the last day, follow the trail downhill past stunning lookouts of Patacancha. Take the evening train to Aguas Calientes, where we spend the night.
12 Machu Picchu / Cusco:
Very early in the morning take the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu for early morning views of the lost city of the Incas. Join a guided tour of the ruins, with plenty of free time afterwards to explore on your own. In the afternoon catch the train back to Cuzco.
13 Cuzco:
Relax and explore the sights and sounds of Cuzco. Rafting, horseback riding and mountain biking are all possible options.
14 Lima:
Fly back to the coast and the capital, Lima. The city offers many interesting museums and neighborhoods to explore. Celebrate our final night out with one last Pisco Sour.
15 Depart Lima:
