Hostelling International
 Hostelling International is the brand name of more than 90 Youth Hostel Associations in over 80 countries, operating 4,000+ hostels. No other hostel operator can compete for sheer quality or variety of accommodation! Unlike bland motels, impersonal hotels or dodgy backpackers, HI Youth Hostels are fun, lively meeting places, full of like-minded people.
Hostelling International membership gives you much more than a comfy bed! It puts you at the heart of a huge international family, where you can share experiences, travel and friendship with people of all nations. You should be a member of a National Youth Hostel Association, which is recognised by IYHF in order to stay in a HI youth hostel. There are two ways to become a member:
Purchase a membership from the Adventure Travel Company before you start your journey.
Purchase an international "Welcome Stamp" (one per night up to a maximum of six) when you arrive at a hostel outside your country of residence.
