We visit the Ballestas Islands by motor boat where sea lions and a multitude of bird-life live side by side. Immense sand dunes encircle Huacachina Oasis where you have the chance to go sand boarding (optional). In Nazca you can take an optional flight over the famous Nazca Lines which have baffled experts for many years. The ruins of an old Inca port at Puerto Inca awaits us. Next, Arequipa has arguably the prettiest main square on the whole continent. Its colonial buildings are built from the volcanic rock of the El Misti Volcano that overlooks the square. The Santa Catalina convent was only opened to the public in 1970 after spending 400 years in total isolation, well worth the visit (optional). |

Flying to Pto Maldanado we are transported by bus and motorised canoe to our jungle lodge with in the mighty Amazon rain forest. Along with our guide we will have the opportunity during our visit to experience this magical place with walks into the jungle to discover many species of plants and wildlife. It is not uncommon during our jungle experience to see many species of monkey, Caiman, Tarantula spiders, many different and unusual bird species and if we are lucky the rare giant otter.
