Rio de Janeiro
Explore the incomparable Rio de Janeiro, where the friendly Cariocas will have you swaying to the samba beat in no time. For those who arrive early, head up to Sugar Loaf Mountain for views of the city below or mingle with the beautful people on Copacabana. |

Paraty
Down the Atlantic coast is the lovely coastal town of Paraty. Wander along the cobblestone streets and admire a town that has remained fundamentally unaltered since Portuguese colonial days. There's plenty of time to take a boat trip to the nearby islands, or visit one of the many white sand beaches that make Brazil famous. |

Iguazu Falls
The thundering Iguazu Falls comprises 275 separate waterfalls combining to create a dramatic spectacle. Spend the next two days exploring both the Argentinean and Brazilian sides of the Falls or take advantage of great optional activities, including a helicopter trip. |

Buenos Aires
The 'Paris of the Americas', Buenos Aires is full of life. Visit the districts of La Boca, Recoleta, and San Telmo on a city tour and head to a parrilla for one of the best steaks you're ever likely to try. |

Bariloche
Head south across the mountains of upper Patagonia to beautiful Bariloche. Go hiking or biking in the nearby national park or take a boat out onto the lake. This is a region famous for its fine chocolate, so be sure to sample some after a day of outdoor fun. |

Puerto Varas
Over the border in Chile's Lake District there is plenty of time to explore. Optional activities include day tours to Chiloe Island, the lakeside villages of Frutillar or hiking in the hills surrounding Osorno Volcano. |

Santiago
Finish this fantastic adventure with a glass of Chile's great wine on a tour of the Maipu Valley wineries. For some final breathtaking views travel by funicular to the summit of Cerro San Cristobal. |
