Spend the evening in the coastal city of Guayaquil. |

In the pretty colonial town of Cuenca, spend a free day wandering among the balconied houses, white churches and narrow cobbled streets. |

Zig-zagging switchbacks and lush mountain scenery set the stage for our trip on the Devil's Nose Railway. Continue on to Riobamba, from where it is possible to see all of Ecuador's great volcanoes. |

Head towards Mt Chimborazo, Ecuador's highest mountain, for amazing views. In Banos, enjoy the mountain scenery from a steaming natural hot spring. |

Amazon Jungle
Descend from the volcano-studded highlands to the lush green rainforests of the Amazon. From a jungle lodge on the banks of the Napo River, take guided walks among the exotic flora to spot wild and wonderful animals, birds and reptiles. Take a canoe ride along the river for a different look at the jungle. |
