Itinerary

Day: Description:
1 Quito
Aside from its beautiful location, Quito boasts a vibrant nightlife, mild climate and rich cultural heritage.
2-4 Galapagos Islands
Follow in the footsteps of Darwin and explore the unique, beautiful and sometimes strange flora and fauna of the Galapagos Islands. From blue-footed boobies to iguanas and maybe even whales, this is a wildlife lover's paradise.
5 Guayaquil
Spend the evening in the coastal city of Guayaquil.
6-7 Cuenca
In the pretty colonial town of Cuenca, spend a free day wandering among the balconied houses, white churches and narrow cobbled streets.
8 Riobamba
Zig-zagging switchbacks and lush mountain scenery set the stage for our trip on the Devil's Nose Railway. Continue on to Riobamba, from where it is possible to see all of Ecuador's great volcanoes.
9-10 Banos
Head towards Mt Chimborazo, Ecuador's highest mountain, for amazing views. In Banos, enjoy the mountain scenery from a steaming natural hot spring.
11-12 Amazon Jungle
Descend from the volcano-studded highlands to the lush green rainforests of the Amazon. From a jungle lodge on the banks of the Napo River, take guided walks among the exotic flora to spot wild and wonderful animals, birds and reptiles. Take a canoe ride along the river for a different look at the jungle.
13-14 Quito
Our adventure comes full circle. Back in Quito there's free time to continue exploring. Pay a visit to El Panecillo (the little bread loaf) for a final Ecuadorian panorama.
